According to The New York Times, "There are more than
1,000 literary magazines currently publishing. That is more than at any
time in history." (12/27/04, "Lit Love - The Age of Literary Magazines")
Only 300 of those American literary magazines, however, have
survived 20 years or more. Sensations Magazine is among those 300.

 | Issue 4 introduced the "Rediscovering
America in Poetry" research series, a 10-year project
which
republished all extant American poetry from 1565-1670, and
selections from 1671-1700, on acid-free paper |
 | Issue 9, "Sixth Anniversary Issue," won

 | Issue 10, "Hope Against Hate," won

believed to be the largest scale use of full color in any

 | 2004 became the first year we released five
new Sensations Magazine issues |

raised $100 for the National Center for
Missing and Exploited Children in 2006 |
 | Winter 2005 "Losing a Child" supplement raised $600 for The Velie Memorial Fund in 2005-2006 |
 | Issue 40, 2006, at 300 pages, was our largest issue in our
20-year history |
 | Issue 41, the 150-page Spring/Summer 2007, "20th
Anniversary Fiction Issue" was our first full high-gloss issue since 1995.
It was both a critical success, and helped secure several new institutional
subscribers |
 | Issue 42, the "20th Anniversary Spoken Word Issue,"
featured highlights from 15+ years of videotaped poetry readings, and a
chronology of all events sponsored by Sensations Magazine, Gold Coast
Performing Arts, and The Six Centuries Club, from Jan 1988 to Jan 2008 |
 | All Sensations Magazine issues published from 1987
(Issues 1-41) are sold out |
