Travelling 600 Years of
"American" History, 2008-2010
This is your invitation to join us on a remarkable journey
of education, enlightenment, and entertainment, as The Six Centuries Club
explores a different century of American history every six months, starting with
America in the 1500s (from January to June 2008), and ending with America in the
2000s (from July to December 2010). During 2008, 2009 and 2010, we will
conduct an in-depth exploration of six centuries of American history - thus the
name of our company, The Six Centuries Club of America, Inc. This is not
the history you learned in school, but what we call "the reality of history" -
combining a return to primary sources written during these centuries, with
publicizing 21st century scientific experiments that are giving new insights into
these time periods, and also blending in the creative imagination of poets and fiction writers:
a recipe of poetry, fiction, and research, to
bring American history to new life in unusual and electrifying ways.
The Six Centuries Club is the parent company of
Sensations Magazine, the publication of poetry, fiction, and research that
is included at all membership levels, and that is a three-consecutive-year
national award winner in the American Literary Magazine Awards, including two
First Place Awards.
We define "American" history
above as what happened in what is now the United States of America, and limit
our forthcoming research explorations to history within present U.S.A. boundaries,
from a multicultural standpoint, and with an emphasis on presenting the often
unwritten histories of various minorities. Poets and fiction writers
write about American history, and a historic 1800s home in Lafayette, New Jersey
opens four times a year for history presentations and poetry readings related to
the time periods being covered. All you have to do is the following five
simple steps:

Sensations Magazine Issue 42,

production, and expected to be shipped before the end of April 2008. A

delay, but are confident a better issue will result, and we appreciate your
patience.

Starting January 2007, Sensations
Magazine became a publication of The Six Centuries Club of America, Inc. Our six-part,
three-year "American Century" project begins in 2008, starting with the "16th Century
America" issue (Issue 43, Spring/Summer 2008), and ending with the "21st Century
America" issue (Issue 48, Fall/Winter 2010). Copies of Sensations
Magazine issues are included with every basic annual membership.
Higher levels include invitations to private in-house readings and history
presentations, group trips, writers' workshops and retreats, and more.
While our focus is on poetry and history, you do not need to be a poet or
historian to join - anyone with a passion for history, or interest in learning
more about America from a multicultural standpoint, is welcomed.
December 2007 marked the 20th anniversary of the founding of
Sensations Magazine. For
those of you who are new to us, here is our history, as shown below via the covers for the 42 issues and two supplements of Sensations
